Salamis Duprei, commonly known as the Forest Mother of Pearl, is a captivating butterfly species belonging to the Nymphalidae family. This butterfly, found in various parts of Africa, boasts an exquisite appearance characterized by delicate and iridescent wings, earning it the poetic name "Mother of Pearl." The wings of Salamis Duprei feature a pearly sheen, often with a subtle play of colors that can range from creamy whites to soft blues and greens.
The upper side of its wings is adorned with intricate patterns and a lustrous sheen, creating a visually enchanting display. The Forest Mother of Pearl is known for its graceful flight and is often observed in the forested areas it calls home.
