Lenin pins made by the Soviet Union were everyday propaganda objects designed to keep revolutionary ideology visible in public life. Centered on the portrait of Vladimir Lenin, they combined his image with Soviet symbols such as red stars, banners, wheat sheaves, factories, and dates tied to the October Revolution or party milestones. Produced continuously from the early 1920s through 1991, these pins were worn on jackets, uniforms, and school attire, reinforcing Lenin’s role as the ideological foundation of the state and presenting him as a timeless guide for Soviet society rather than a distant historical figure.
Unlike high-ranking medals, Lenin pins were meant to be ubiquitous. They were issued for youth organizations, workplace recognition, anniversaries, political participation, and mass celebrations, making them familiar objects across generations. Their small size and simple materials reflect their purpose: not to reward individual heroism, but to normalize ideological identity in daily life. While many survived simply because they were produced in huge numbers and kept as personal keepsakes, their primary value today lies in how directly they illustrate the Soviet state’s reliance on repetition, symbolism, and visibility to sustain loyalty over seven decades.
Ancient Artifacts guarantees the Authenticity of items sold through a three layer system of protection:
Your pin will look very similar to the ones shown in the photos. There will always be some variety, given our items are unique historical pieces. The display case included is openable so that you may easily handle and closely observe the artifact. If for whatever reason you get anything that does not fit this description you are entitled to your money back!
These come from vast, centralized production within the Soviet Union, where Lenin pins were manufactured in enormous quantities by state-run factories and distributed through schools, workplaces, youth organizations, party events, and public commemorations. Because they were symbolic items rather than currency or awards of rank, they were issued freely and often kept as personal mementos, stored in drawers, boxes, and family collections rather than worn until destruction. After the collapse of the USSR, many emerged from these private holdings and institutional clear-outs and entered the collector market. Today they are legally owned and traded as historical memorabilia, commonly appearing through established numismatic and militaria dealers and auctions, their availability reflecting mass production and preservation rather than modern reproduction or archaeological recovery.

The delivery took quite a while, but this has nothing to do with the saler. I am very happy with my purchase, having a real piece of history in my home is really cool. The little display case looks nice and sturdy.

The button arrived upside down in the display case so I had to open it up and fix it before gifting. Other than that everything was great! Neat gift.

The Coin and case is awesome! The only additional thing that could make it perfect would be a little description of what/who the coin faces represent and possibly where the specific coin was found. Otherwise very content
