The 2 Lira coin minted in Italy between 1923 and 1935 is a significant artifact from the era of the Kingdom of Italy under King Victor Emmanuel III and Benito Mussolini's Fascist regime. The reverse side of the coin features the fasces, a bundle of rods bound together with an axe protruding, an ancient Roman symbol that Mussolini adopted to represent the unity and authority of the Fascist state.
